The WBF Anti Doping Regulations

At the WBF Executive Council meeting held in October 2008 in Beijing, the WBF (the Bridge International Federation [IF]) accepted the revised 2009 Anti-Doping Code from WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency).

The WBF has adopted new Anti-Doping rules based on the revised Code. These rules were approved by WADA on 27th January 2009 and are in force as Players in the Open, Women’s and Youth (Junior and Youngsters) Teams in World Bridge Teams Championships will be liable for Anti-Doping Tests.of that date.

Any players requiring exemption certificates should ensure that they complete the TUE form and return it to the address given on the document as soon as possible and no later than 21 days before the commencement of the competition in which they are participating.

For the purpose of anti-doping education on the WADA website you will find: Resources, Education & Awareness, The World Anti-doping Code, WADA Prohibited List, Video: The Doping Control Process for Athletes and WADA Athlete Guide
