Profile and Social History
Anna Maria says:
Not speaking for the moment about Bridge, I am a member of the International Inner Wheel Club of Pescara ( association of Rotarian Wives) as International Service Organizer.
I am one of the two women members of the Italian Cooking Academy ,delegation of Pescara . The aim of this association is to study the problems of the gastronomy and of the Italian Cuisine - promotion of their traditional values- historical research and its publication, as an expression of custom, civilization, culture and science.
In 1958, before my involvement in the Bridge field, and as a result of having two small daughters, I developed an enormous interest in the growth and in advancement of girls. I decided at this time to create an activity specifically for this purpose: a school of Classic Dance authorized by the Ministry of Education, unique in the Region, with teachers qualified by the Opera in Rome and by the Academy of State . This school is still in existence, and is very successful.
The specific aim was to give the girls aged between 4 and 20 the opportunity to develop while undertaking a sporting , physical activity, learning at the same time grace and mastery of the movement and further discovering and develop their talents in order to prepare them for admission to the Opera or Academy of State in Rome or in the Scala in Milan - the final step of their studies.
Member of the Executive Committee of the Music and Theatre Academy in Pescara
I started my activities in the Bridge field in 1975 when I was elected President of the Bridge Association in Pescara .
